The use of Battery Design Studio to generate an RCR model is demonstrated using synthetic data derived from a physics-based model.

The physics-based model can account for different particle sizes, electrode formulations, separators, electrolytes, kinetics, and aging so generates realistic synthetic data. The RCR model is computationally efficient and provides excellent prediction for data sets where voltage losses are mainly ohmic. Predicted voltage and temperature correspond closely for parameters obtained over range of rates and temperatures.
