This webcast explores the benefits and use of more complex CFD simulations for self-propulsion. With these the industry will be able to more effectively achieve ship contract speed and address the demand for an increase in sea-going vessel capacity and the increasingly stringent environmental regulations. 

The webcast features a presentation from Lloyd’s Register that compares a full-scale CFD simulation of a self-propelled vessel in calm weather conditions to a comprehensive set of trials data. The presented results help attendees gain a new level of confidence in applying full-scale CFD simulations of ship performance as a powerful alternative to model testing.

A live demonstration will show how the range of advanced technologies available in today’s simulation tools can be combined to enable marine industry professionals to simulate ship performance within real operating conditions.
