The enormous breadth of applications for which STAR-CCM+ is being used is in part a result of the deep range of options available for all steps of the simulation process - from CAD to meshing to conditions and physics to solving and post-processing. But the range of options comes with a price:  Sometimes it can be difficult to know the particular settings most appropriate for a given application.

This presentation will overview the recommended STAR-CCM+ settings for typical electronics cooling analyses. All steps of the simulation process will be systematically addressed, with explanations of the specific settings and the motivations behind the choices. The goal of the best practices discussion is to describe a repeatable process that generates accurate results quickly and easily.
